Hello, I am new to apple devices but recently acquired an ipad. I have a Powerpoint presentation that I'd like to use on the ipad, I have the Powerpoint for ipad app and it does display the presentation correctly but the embedded video does not play (not too surprised about that).
I have converted all the videos using itunes and synced to the ipad and they show up in Home Videos and play correctly. So now I edit the powerpoint, go the the slide to embed the first video and so 'Insert - Video' and it tells me there are 'no Photos or Videos'. Does anyone know how to make Powerpoint find where the videos are?
Alternatively, would I be better doing this with Keynote - assuming the presentation will translate well? Thank you in Advance 13DoW.
OK, I figured it out. I originally synced the movie clips as Movies but they need to be synced as Photos. Once that is done Powerpoint is able to see them and I'm able to embed them in the presentation. I'm actually quite impressed that this works. The only difference between the original PC presentation is that when you click the video on PC it automatically goes to full screen and then goes back to the slide when done.
The iPad version does not so I have sized the videos to fill as much of the slide as possible. I had to resize some text that shares the same slide but not a big deal really.
Some slides are a test - the video is shown, you tap it and it plays and you have to make a decision on what was shown. The answer text then appears as a transition when you swipe the screen. Wasn't sure that was going to work as on the PC but it does. OK, I figured it out. I originally synced the movie clips as Movies but they need to be synced as Photos.
